Mahelet was born and raised in Mexico; she came to the United States at age 14. She received an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education at Cosumnes River College and has been working with children since 2009. She started working at Peregrine in 2014 as the Spanish Teacher in Escuelita and is now a Head Teacher.
Mahelet is thrilled to be a part of the Peregrine Family! Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and two children, 7-year-old Angel and 2-year-old Aylen.
