Originally from Bakersfield, California, Joaquin is an artist who focuses on abstract and Native pop culture. A member of the Chumash (Santa Barbara) and Cheyenne (Montana) tribes, he plays wtih the drumming group Red Hoop, which travels across the U.S. singing and honoring their culture. He loves introducing the music and art of his culture to children and families at Peregrine School.
