El Nido South
Ashley is excited to welcome Peregrine’s toddlers and help them explore and discover their world. She adores children and enjoys being a part of Peregrine’s loving and nurturing community. She previously worked with Peregrine’s Escuelita and Mariposas programs, and she has also worked with children in many capacities: tutoring in reading and math, organizing cultural celebrations, teaching about outdoor safety, and coaching soccer. She has a strong interest in process and sensory-based art, as well as literacy through storytelling and dramatic play. Ashley was raised in San Diego and graduated from UC Davis with degrees in Art Studio and Communication before pursuing a career in Early Childhood Education. She currently holds a California Site Supervisor permit. She has also been dancing Salsa for many years and can’t wait to share her love for dance with the Peregrine community. In April 2018, she and her husband Chris welcomed their first son, Leo. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, painting, drawing, photography, singing, and playing with her two adorable dogs, Nutmeg and Callie.
